Awesome FireFox trick!

Posted in Software by Gabe on April 13, 2007

FireFox TrickHello again. As I was bored and messing around with FireFox to see if I could get fireworks to shoot out of the Go button, I found an awesome trick… you can open a window within a window (and even inside a tab) by copy + pasting the follow info in the address bar: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul

What this little bit of text does is basically open a FireFox window inside a tab, pretty cool huh? To get out of it simply go to the address bar and type in another address or hit the home button =D.

Digg!

I’ve tried it and it’s cool, but fortunately my FireFox sucked up my CPU resources when I close the tab with that address. When I clicked home button, it got back to normal.
